The Satan of Waiting for the Right Time
There is a lie that has quietly stolen more dreams than failure ever has.
It sounds reasonable.
It sounds patient.
It even sounds wise.
It whispers,
"Not now."
"Wait until life settles down."
"Wait until you have more money."
"Wait until the children grow up."
"Wait until you feel more confident."
"Wait until everything is in place."
When I use the word Satan in this blog, I use it as a metaphor for anything that separates us from our purpose and prevents us from becoming who we are meant to be.
One of its most convincing disguises is this:
"The right time hasn't come yet."
It doesn't ask you to give up on your dream.
It simply asks you to postpone it.
Again.
And again.
Until one day, postponement becomes a habit.
The Myth of Perfect Timing
We often imagine that one day life will become easier.
That all our responsibilities will disappear.
That we will finally have enough time.
Enough money.
Enough confidence.
Enough certainty.
But life doesn't work that way.
Every season brings its own challenges.
When you're young, you lack experience.
When you gain experience, you have more responsibilities.
When responsibilities lessen, your energy may not be the same.
If you keep waiting for life to become perfect...
You may spend your whole life waiting.
The perfect moment is not something you find.
It is something you create.
Fear Loves the Word "Later"
Most delays are not about timing.
They are about fear.
Fear of failing.
Fear of succeeding.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of change.
Fear of leaving the familiar.
But fear rarely says,
"I'm afraid."
Instead, it says,
"I'm just waiting for the right time."
That sounds much more acceptable.
Yet behind "later" often hides a frightened heart.
Dreams Grow Through Action
A seed does not wait until it feels ready.
It breaks open in darkness.
It pushes through the soil.
It faces storms before it enjoys sunshine.
Growth has never required certainty.
It has always required movement.
Your dream doesn't become clearer because you think about it longer.
It becomes clearer because you begin.
The first step reveals the second.
The second reveals the third.
The path appears as you walk it.
How Many Dreams Are Waiting?
How many books remain inside people's hearts because they are waiting for the perfect moment to write?
How many businesses were never started because someone wanted one more course, one more certificate, one more guarantee?
How many conversations about love, forgiveness, or healing were delayed until it was too late?
How many gifts has the world never received because someone believed tomorrow was promised?
The tragedy is not that people have dreams.
The tragedy is that many die with those dreams still inside them.
Your Future Is Being Built Today
Every choice you make today becomes the life you live tomorrow.
If you always postpone your dreams, you are not protecting your future.
You are quietly shaping it.
Five years from now, you will either say,
"I'm so grateful I started."
Or,
"I wish I had started."
Both futures begin with the decision you make today.
Small Steps Change Lives
Starting doesn't mean quitting your job tomorrow.
It doesn't mean risking everything overnight.
It means taking one faithful step.
Write one page.
Make one phone call.
Learn one new skill.
Save one small amount.
Have one honest conversation.
Take one courageous action.
Dreams are rarely built in giant leaps.
They are built through small, consistent acts of courage.
Reflection
Ask yourself honestly...
What dream have I been postponing?
What reason do I keep giving myself?
Is it truly a matter of timing...
Or is it fear wearing the mask of wisdom?
If I knew I could not fail, what would I begin today?
If I had only one year to live, what dream would no longer be allowed to wait?
Life is not waiting for you.
Time is already moving.
The question is not whether the right time will arrive.
The question is whether you will recognize that today is the youngest, strongest, and most powerful version of yourself that you will ever have again.
The right time is rarely comfortable.
It is rarely convenient.
It is rarely perfect.
It is simply the moment you decide that your dream is more important than your excuses.
Because one day...
"Someday"
Becomes
"Too late."
Don't wait for the right time.
Become the person who makes this the right time.
