Heal Your Foundation Chakra

By Roop Lakhani - 12:49:00

Your Root chakra is your connection with your parents, your values, your foundation of life.
It is our connection of how we have felt safe in our daily needs as a child. It is our connection with money, home, children, and how we have been made to feel around money, home, from parents, and more.

Everyone, at some point in their lives, has struggled with a root chakra deficiency. If you were raised with lots of home issues, parents fighting, less money in the house for basic needs, financial challenges or quarrels around finances in daily life  or poverty issues, experienced the divorce of your parents when you were young and you had witnessed small small discussions around safety, home, finance, survival, talks of parents who struggled to pay the rent, EMI, loan, bills and more, you were smacked or abused as a child, you were emotionally neglected as a child, then you are likely to have an imbalabced root chakra.

The root chakra, or Muladhara, is our body’s most primal and fundamental energy center, being located at the base of our spine, or groin area. Being associated with the color red, the root chakra regulates the energy associated with instinct, survival, safety, home, children, parents, job, finance, money, business and more.

When the root chakra is imbalanced due to trauma, psychological issues such as chronic fear, chronic survival issues, chronic safety issues, psychosomatic suppression and repression of anger and sadness, fears around the parents divorce, fears around parents running daily expenses, fears around one of the parent not feeling safe or protected in a relationship, then surely there is imbalabced root chakra.

Signs of imbalanced Root chakras

The root chakra, or Muladhara, is our body’s most primal and fundamental energy center, being located at the base of our spine, or groin area. Being associated with the color red, the root chakra regulates the energy associated with instinct, survival, safety, security, security with home, security in relations, concerns for children, parents, job, finance, money, business and more.

When the root chakra is imbalanced due to trauma, psychological issues such as chronic fear, and psychosomatic suppression and repression, we experience a disruption in the flow of life. Often our blocked energy centers lead to constant personal, existential and relationship issues.

Now if any bell is ringing while reading this article, you must write down the thoughts or the words that catches your attention. Work on your root chakra and get it balanced.

If you have a deficient root chakra, you will be more prone to issues such as insecurity, anxiety, suspicion, and withdrawing. On the other hand, if you have an excessive root chakra you will be prone to hoarding, workaholism, greed, and anger.

Any more bells ringing??!!

Here are best and easy way of Root chakra healing practices I practice

1. Keep observing red color, see red roses or anything that is red.

2. Chant “LAM” to yourself.
This sound matches the vibration of the root chakra. Try drawing out the letters into sounds, such as “lllllllaaaaaaammmmm.” You might also like to listen to binaural beats or solfeggio frequency or tibetian sound bowls music healing therapy which helps to activate and clear all the chakras through alternating sound waves.

3. Regularly go for a walk in nature and ground yourself.
Consciously note the connection of your feet to the earth. Listen to the grounding music. Do self talk to give you assurance that you exist on this planet and you are been provided properly inspite of challenges.

4.Use affirmations to reprogram your unconscious thinking patterns.
Affirmation examples include,
“I am grounded,”
“I am centered and whole,
“I trust in the wisdom of life,”
“I have everything I need,”
“I am safe and secure,”
“I surrender,”
“I am strong, stable, and at peace.”

If any bells ringing, don't forget to do whatever you can. Do affirmations regularly.
When you have a clear, strong and harmonious root chakra, you will firstly feel grounded and calm. You will no longer have fears surrounded money or loss of control, but will come to trust the divine intelligence of life. Not only will you trust yourself more, but you will also feel connected to others and nature more deeply. When your root chakra is healthy, you will find it simple to be your authentic self finding the inner peace that is always here in the present moment easier to connect to. You will give up the need to fight, protect and defend, and will instead come into alignment with ebb and flow of life.
