Let's Welcome Obstacle Remover Lord Ganesha

Today is Ganesh Chaturthi, the special day when we welcome lord Ganesha, on his birthday. He is known as vighnaharta, removal of obstacles and giver of wisdom.

Overcoming obstacles go hand in hand with having wisdom to know the ways to overcome. When it comes to overcoming obstacles, many people just don’t know what to do, where to begin or how to move forward when adversity strikes. The obstacles crowd the clarity of thinking. Moreover, the struggle  to reach the desired goals seems difficult.

Majorly there can be three types of obstacles 

1. Personal Obstacles - We face
Personal obstacles related to our complex thinking,  psychology, behavior, and state-of-mind. They typically include unhelpful habits, sabotaging emotions, self defeating limiting beliefs, paralyzing fears, lack of doubts and confusion, lack of trust and courage to believe in oneself, lack of confidence to move forward.

The reason these obstacles prevent us from moving forward comes down to how we percieve the events and how we choose to interpret the events and circumstances. It all starts with intentions, thoughts, mindset, attitude and perspectives and the subsequent thoughts we choose to dwell upon.

The thoughts we typically dwell upon prevent us from making objective decisions. Our poor choices, subsequently lead us down less than optimal paths as we work toward our goals.

2. Social Obstacles - 
Social obstacles are related to people who either do not cooperate with you, sabotage you or are merely incompetent and unable to fulfill the responsibilities assigned to them.

When it comes to social obstacles, it’s essential to do planning, preparing and  priortizing to ensure that you clarify your needs adequately, your knowledge thoroughly, and your instructions carefully.

It is good to know a bit of psychology of people to deal with different minds. It not only helps to develop good strong bonds and relationships with the people you rely on most, but it adequates you to be resilient.

3. Environmental Obstacles - 
Environmental obstacles are often unexpected conditions and circumstances that you typically have very little control over. There can be weather or climatic conditions, it can be phenoemenons such as earthquakes and accidents.

Environmental obstacles are often unexpected occurrences, thus we are frequently ill-prepared and unable to deal with them in optimal ways, such as current condition of covid pandemics.

Little research and forward planning, flexible attitude and adaptable approach can set you in place the contingency plans that can help you work through these obstacles in more effective ways. 

Being a life coach and healer, I have understood the power of questions that can open up the mind of people to overcome obstacles and follow their inner wisdom. A series of questions can help shift how people think about themselves, about their lives, and about their circumstances.
It helps them gain more clarity about the obstacles they currently face.

These questions help stimulate more profound insights and understandings. Subsequently, they help unlock hidden inner resources and wisdom that these people didn’t realize they had access to.

With more clarity comes greater insight and understanding that will help you to think about your life and circumstances in more resourceful and optimal ways.

Here are few ideas that can give you clarity to remove obstacles

1. Identify the overwhelming feelings behind the obstacle and make right options logically
2. Step back emotionally and detach yourself from the emotional loads
3. Stay calm, patient and collected to face the obstacles
4. Every problem has a solution, explore other options that can help you move forward
5. Stay focussed, you have all the resources and wisdom. Use it wisely.
6. Obstacles are as real as you make them out. Change your perspectives.
7. If needed, assess your obstacles and take charge of the actions that can move you through the obstacles
8. Make things simple by thinking critically and creatively
9. Cultivate self belief and self confidence that can propagate you forward.
10. Last but not the least, take support, seek advise from experts, find a way to help you overcome obstacles with least effort.
